Preschool Teacher
Mountain Minis Early Learning Academy is a small business in Bailey, CO. We are looking for employees to join a strong community caring for children and families and be a part of a dedicated team. Our mission is to help develop, educate and prepare children for their journey into higher education where they are valued and supported.
We are looking for Lead and Substitute teachers for our infant, toddler and preschool programs. Our school will hold care for ages 6 weeks - 5 years.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons for preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide physical education opportunities to promote gross motor skills development
- Offer tutoring and support to children who may need additional assistance
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child's development
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and welfare of each child
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
-Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides
-Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualified under local, state, and federal regulations
Must pass all required background checks
-Must meet state requirements for applying position.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various subjects, including math
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
